More (or less) Catholicism

The Last Temptation of Christ is one of my favorite movies of all time. Top five, definitely. The book is right up there too. So I found this piece of news fascinating. Looks like Nikos Kazantzakis knew some shit.

The disciples’ orientation is debatable. JP, not so much.

I’m all over this story too for various reasons (When Last Temptation came out, I was a senior in high school and my parents let me skip school that day, take the train into the city, and line up at the Zigfield for the first showing. I ended up next to a lesbian priest. We had much fun chatting about the protesters damning us to hell. As a Jew and a lesbian, we were probably already going anyway!). Kinda makes me think of Dumbledore and Snape…
