Oh, baby!
It’s probably the worst week imaginable for me to read this article, because I’m both baby-crazy and broke. Not that I’m planning on having a kid anytime real soon, but this freaks my shit out big time.
I have had friends tell me that if you wait for the ideal conditions–including financial–to have a kid, you’ll never have one. I know it’s true. But reading that has made me seriously consider getting a second job. Or demanding that GTB get one.
I’m off to scour the web now for jobs that will pay me to be a prime-time TV watcher.

If you breast feed until the kid is 17, you could save yourself $27,00!!
Just a suggestion.

I’m thinking you get a new job and GTB births the kid.

Um, did they poll exclusively stay-at-home moms? I want to know where on earth those people are finding childcare for

Pa-lease. We had barely two jobs the first three years with the first one and are thinking about another with massive college loans. You’re right, thinking about having kids and worrying about money never works; it seems logical, but it isn’t. All the good stuff that happens rarely seems like it will until suddenly it does (hello awesome couple).
