It&#8217;s not the bad haircuts, ugly suits, or hokey weather guys. Though they bug me somewhat too. <\/p>\n<p>No, what bugs me about Oregon news is that it&#8217;s only considered &#8220;news&#8221; if it&#8217;s about Oregon.  For example, that helicopter crash in Northern California that killed several firefighters. The day it happened, I heard it mentioned briefly on OPB. The next day, we found out those killed were from Oregon and all of a sudden it&#8217;s breaking news, the top story, and all anyone can talk about. It makes me crazy. <\/p>\n<p>But once in a while, there is a story like this that makes me just love Oregon news. I mean, where else would this even be a story?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kgw.com\/news-local\/stories\/kgw_080708_news_highway_urine.23728a0b.html\">More and more urine-filled bottles tossed along I-84<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have this pet peeve about Oregon news.
