A couple of weeks ago, GTB and I drove by a Wendy’s and noticed that their sign said, “Try our new Frescata!” <\/p>\n

“Oooh, what’s a Frescata?” we wondered aloud. It sounds so fresh, so fruity, so refreshing.<\/p>\n

My guess was that it’s a Slurpee-like concoction of Fresca and ice, all blended together in a cold, crisp, citrusy bit o’ heaven. Everytime I pass that Wendy’s (which I do daily, since it’s on my way to work) I salivate at the thought of slurping up a Frescata.<\/p>\n

Then, a few days ago, I was watching TV and saw an ad for Wendy’s new sandwich. Turns out, the Frescata is a meaty sandwich on a greasy bun. There’s nothing “frescata” about that! That’s just gross. <\/p>\n

So now that I’ve apparently invented what could be the new “It” drink, I’m going to have to think of a new name. I’m bummed that Frescata is already taken by an artery-clogging piece of fast food shit.
