At the risk of making anohter post on here and having GTB yell at me again.... Kinda cute really ;-).

I know our two politicial views are almost 180 from each other.

I dont like the fact that we are having to fight in Iraq, but i do feel that it is the right thing to be doing. For decades we sat by doing nothing. Now that we are doing something about the problem in the middle east, a problem that we created in the first place or at least had a hand in creating. People dont have the strength of will to see what needs to be done.

Yes it will hurt, sacarafices will need to be made. In the end we will be better off, not only as a nation as a world.

I wish your brother well, and a safe return home. And if he reads this post, I thank him for everything that he is doing.

Another interesting move was lifting the activation limitation for reservists. It's the first step in ending the all volunteer force. Few reservists will stay in knowing that they can be activated indefinitely. Not only will this limit the number of combat vets available to train new servicemembers, but it will put a massive dent in manpower. Add that to the longer deployment schedules and higher numbers required over there and I wouldn't be surprised if we don't start hearing about a draft in the next year.
